Just In Time For Father's Day

We found out that Jennifer is pregnant with our first child. She had been wondering, so she took a few of those home pregnancy tests (3 in fact). You can never be too sure. She also went to the doctor for a blood test and the results came back positive.

This will be my first (unofficial) celebration of Father's Day.

We are both excited about having a child. We've been married for 11 years, so it's about time. Our parents are very happy too. My mom and Jennifer's mom have been waiting for grandchildren for a long time. They had almost given up hope. Now, Jennifer & I get to look forward to all the ups and downs that pregnancy, birth, rasing a child.....etc. has to bring.

It May Have Finally Happened

Guess what couple can no longer be considered the last holdouts for not having kids?

Jennifer took a pregnancy test Friday night (June 8th) and it come out positive. I went to the pharmacy to pick up a couple more so she could take another. Yet again, positive. She waited until the next morning to take the last one and it was an even stronger looking positive. Jennifer is pregnant.

Now we start considering all those things we said we would or wouldn't do if we have kids.

We're both excited and nervous. This is a whole new set of responsibilities and we have no clue what needs to be done. Fortunately, most of the people we know have been through this and they are happy to give us support.
