Test, Test....does this thing work?

I think my brain shut off sometime during the night. I feel like a zombie destined to roam the Earth aimlessly until hit by a rogue meteor.

Has anyone medically proven an allergy to work? I may be a good test case, since no matter what I try I can't seem to get into the groove. I have plenty to do, but just seem to fizzle out during the day.

So, it's back to sitting here staring at my monitor and drooling for the rest of the day.

Another Monday

Glad I was able to finally take a couple days off. The batteries are re-charged and I'm ready to get back to work. Didn't eat too much this year, so that's good.

I just started to learn MySQL and PHP. I like it. Created my first database driven site. Don't know why I haven't taken the time to learn it sooner....guess I was just too lazy. Now that I have a new challenge, I look forward to coming in every day.

Have a good week...

What I'm Thankful For

First I'm thankful for my salvation through Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross.

All other things in my life are unimportant in comparison.

I am thankful for the wife and family God has allowed me to be part of.

I am thankful for the opportunity to work for myself, especially since God used the hard times to draw me closer to Him...and continues to use the experience to teach me more about His love.

I pray that my family, friends and anyone I've ever come across in my life would have the chance to start to know God in a personal way. I pray that He moves in their hearts and draws them to Him.

I hope that you all have much to be thankful for as well!

Severed Limb

Thought that would get your attention. Especially since I have nothing interesting to say today.

T-Minus Who Knows and Counting

Have you ever watched the movie Groundhog Day. I seem to be caught up in my own version of that. The daily patterns are becoming so routine that you could set an atomic clock to them. Maybe it's because I haven't taken a day off in a while, but that's no one else's fault but my own. Someday maybe I'll break the cycle. Until then, I'll keep on keepin' on.

I Love Rainy Mondays

Nothing like a rainy day to make a Monday better. Here's a look out of the office window:

What a day

It's the end of a nice day. Unfortunately, not all of our team decided to participate in working on our project this weekend. We are trying to understand the logic behind that decision, since the missing part of the team expects to get the rewards for any success the project has. I'm really beginning to get annoyed with the whole idea of working on something for nearly 2 years and having to use all my fingers and toes to count the times that certain individuals have cut out early.

My only way of venting is using this blog now, since I don't think the person is mature enough to handle me confronting them. I guess it is something that needs to be done. If it's not addressed now, it will continue to escalate.

Anyway, it's a shame that a nice weekend has been ruined by the whole situation. Other than that, we had as much fun as you could have working through a weekend.

Wow...what was I thinking

I guess I can be a real grump when I've got a cold. I just re-read my last 2 posts and man do I sound like an angry old cuss. Life is way too short to go around choking people. Guess I need not be blogging when I'm sick. Apparently I tend to be a little harsh.

Life is about making the most of the situation and finding joy in everything that is set in your path. It all works for God's good and has purpose in our lives. Looks like I lost track of that in the last few days. I'm glad I was able to see that. Rather than edit the posts, I'll leave them there as a reminder of how off track I can get easily.

Have a great day and remember that you are not alone...no matter difficult or how great things get. God is always present and standing right beside you! Sometimes he needs to whack some of us over the head with a two-by-four.

It's 3 p.m., where's Lawn Dart?

Must be far more important.

Looks like things are not well at the OK Corral...there might be a shootout!!!

It's a gorage day

Saturday morning and working hard at getting this project off the ground. It's still a long road to hoe....but we're getting there. It's a beautiful morning, and I don't feel like choking anyone! There's a lot of the day left, so we'll see what happens.

We have a December 3rd deadline. Let's see how much we can get done to get this thing launched and soon. It's coming together quite well.

Have you ever....

...wanted to choke someone so badly it made your neck tense up???

Now, this isn't the way to get anything accomplished, but dang if it wouldn't be a great stress reliever. I love how some people only want to be there with their hands out when the reward for something is being given out...but not do any actual work to earn it. I could never understand how a person could think that everyone else will take care of things and that their 2 cents worth of work is enough.

Our developer is coming in and is staying at our office (which is a loft with a bedroom & full bathroom). Do you think my 2 business partners give a wooden nickel if the accommodations are acceptable for human comfort? No! So, thanks go out to Jennifer for buying all of the bed and bath supplies for Casey and for borrowing Michelle's comfy inflatable bed. All of the apathy comes after a night of "discussing" how we'll be handling the finances of our new endeavor. That night was another good time for a choking session. The day actual work gets done to reach the common goal will be a day to celebrate. Gold will rain down from heaven and I will actually be able to say that the partnership truly worked together to get something done. Until then...

Let's see what happens this weekend when we are all supposed to be in the office working on the project.

Friday Morning

How many blogs in history do you think were titled "Friday Morning"??

I've gotten a little behind on work. I'm trying to juggle my little business and a start up company that I'm involved in. Does anyone realize how much work starting up a business is...sheesh!! I heard this line in a movie and it stuck with me, "I feel like butter spread too thin over too many pieces of toast"...or something like that. I hear ya on that one. I guess it's all self-inflicted. I could choose not to do anything at all, but that wouldn't be any fun would it?

We're nearing a the point of launch for our big project and this weekend will be another long one. Stay tuned...I'll put a link to it when it's ready for the world to see.

Why stop now...

If you like mini motocross, then check out these pics I took of some friends racing at a local AZ track this past weekend. It was fun to see my 30+ year old buddies scooting around the track. The pictures aren't that great, since I'm not a photographer. Besides, I grabbed someone else's digital camera to take the shots anyway. If I could ever figure out what all the buttons are for, maybe I could start a new career as a motorsports photographer.

AZ Mini 4-Stroke Challenge

p.s. I wasn't quick enough on the draw to catch some of the crash sequences. It was too much fun to watch in person and get a good laugh then to take pictures. No one got hurt, but their eyes sure did get big!!

Okay, this is fun...

I just avoided the whole idea of blogging for so long. It was something new that I would need to learn...so I figured I'd just tell myself I was too busy to ever try. Thanks to Chad, I'm now part of the blogging craze. So, guess what folks...now that I'm doing it you may as well stop. I'm behind all of the latest fads, so this is no exception. I still think IM'ing is cool and that it doesn't belong on my cell phone. Anyway, I thank those in the technology industry for giving people like me a way to sit and spout out useless bits of information. So check back here often to see what ridiculous things I have to say.

I want to try to add an image so, here we go:

My first blog

just to see if I could do it!

And a voice inside my head said, "You can do it!"
